睽違108年才拿下美國職棒大聯盟(MLB)世界大賽冠軍的芝加哥小熊隊(Chicago Cubs)，4日將在市區舉行慶祝大遊行，小熊的球迷真是興奮到不行。
這場大遊行的正式開始時間是上午11點，不過滿載球員的巴士10點就會駛離小熊主場瑞格利球場(Wrigley Field)，然後才從著名的密西根大道(Michigan Avenue)和橡樹街(Oak Street)十字路口出發朝南走，沿著哥倫布大道(Columbus Drive)前往格蘭特公園(Grant Park)，中午則在公園內的漢契森球場(Hutchinson Field)舉行慶祝集會。
芝加哥市長易曼紐(Rahm Emanuel)3日發表聲明說，芝加哥市以小熊隊為榮，要為這支在2日晚間寫下歷史的球隊和球迷們，舉辦一場配得上他們的慶祝活動。
此外，伊利諾州州長朗納(Bruce Rauner)已正式宣布，11月4日是該州的「世界大賽冠軍芝加哥小熊日」(World Champion Chicago Cubs Day)。
小熊隊2日晚間在世界大賽決勝第七戰拼到延長賽，終於在第10局以8比7力克克里夫蘭印第安人贏得冠軍。小熊隊自1908年後就未曾在世界大賽中勝出，是美國運動史上最久沒得到總冠軍的隊伍。
